Lot of good Country acts in town this week, kinda what I expected the week to be like for ACM weekend. Oh, and I’m scratching a top 10’er off the bucket list. This might also be the first time that 10 different venues made the list. Might be the first in a while without the Granada, too. They have no shows this week.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend windmill their way through Dallas
2 Ed Sheeran @ Verizon Theatre (Grand Prairie) Thurs 5/7/15
The red-headed lad from Britain has blown up in the last year or so. If you missed out on this hot ticket, don’t worry, he’s coming back through Frisco Sept 5
3 the Jesus and Mary Chain @ the Bomb Factory (Deep Ellum) Thurs 5/7/15
Post-punk band playing their 1985 classic Psychocandy in full. #23 on Pitchfork’s top albums of the 80’s

Rising country superstar heads to the Funk
5 Walk the Moon w/ the Griswolds @ Southside Ballroom (Dallas) Fri 5/1/15

6 Dwight Yoakum @ Gas Monkey (Dallas) Fri 5/1/15
Country legend touring on a pretty successful and acclaimed new record.
7 Lady Antebellum @ Gexa Energy Pavilion (Fair Park) Sat 5/2/15
Have I ever featured 3 country shows. I don’t think it’s happened, and it may not happen again.
8 Reptar @ Sons of Hermann Hall (Deep Ellum) Fri 5/1/15
Saw these guys at ACL a few years back and they were a real good time.
9 Bob Schneider @ Kessler Theater (Oak Cliff) Fri 5/1/15
Austin singer-songwriter is a Texas favorite, and has a cult-like following in the area.
10 Crocodiles @ Three Links (Deep Ellum) Tues 5/5/15
An excellent emerging garage rock band.
