Top Record for the Week of 3/3/15

There were some inconsistent, if not disappointing releases this week, so only one stands supreme as this week’s Top Record. This week’s Top Record of the Week is:

Lady Lamb the Beekeeper “After”

Get It On Vinyl

21 year old Aly Spaltro, AKA Lady Lamb the Beekeeper (and maybe just Lady Lamb now), puts it all out there in this intimate record that tells the tales of growing up. Her lilting voice reaching through every song on the album, grabbing at the heart of its listener. The record defies genres, layered with sweeping textures and stacked instrumentation. It’s a stunningly lovely record that was thoughtfully constructed and it will get in your brain and touch your heart.
